A full-bodied wine with a striking character, made from our carefully selected Alicante Bouschet grapes after a long maturation period.
Syrah is undoubtedly one of the grape varieties best suited to hot, dry climates. Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, this Varietal results in an authentic, unique and distinctive wine.
Antão Vaz is certainly the most emblematic white grape variety in the Alentejo. Of these vast fields, the southern slope of the Serra do Mendro in particular, where HMR is located, provides possibly the best conditions for the expression of the grape variety.
The "adopted" Alvarinho, has however surprised us positively by the great quality and plasticity of the wines obtained.
At HMR, our vineyards are located in an environment of clayey loamy soils facing south, where heat prevails. The combination of poor soils and a warm climate allows us to manage the development of the various plots in such a way as to optimise their quality.
In this wine we joined the aromatic richness and the sensations of body amplitude of the Antão Vaz grape variety with the elegance, freshness and evolution capacity of the Alvarinho grape variety, thus creating the best of both worlds.
Whoever enjoys it will find an intense wine with tropical fruit notes and fresh white-fleshed fruit. In the mouth a sober and vibrant freshness associated with ample volume with a long and persistent finish.
